NOT VITAL

The Swiss artist Not Vital (b. 1948) is represented in the Schaufler Collection by several works, most of them sculptures. The SCHAUWERK thus dedicated a monographic exhibition to the artist that included twenty-four objects. Vital’s nomadic life—with homes in in Sent, Agadez, and Beijing and experiences from and memories of travels—is reflected in his oeuvre, as is his strong tie to the nature and culture of his homeland in the Lower Engadine. The wall of knives 1111 Knives and the over-seven-meter-tall work Tongue were some of the highlights of the exhibition.
